To Adam's County we go.

On Wednesday October 19, the Garfield-Palouse FFA Chapter boarded their bus at 6 o’clock a.m. and set off for the Adam's County Soils Competition. With this land-judging event being the last before State, every team worked hard with hopes of coming out on top. This definitely showed when the scores came in at the end of the day. Three hundred and twenty five is the highest possible score overall, and two participants achieved full marks. They both received 1st place banners to take back to their chapters, one of them being our very own Derrick Bosch. Next up for Gar-Pal was freshman Jacob Arlt who only missed a total of four points and scored 5th High Individual. In general, everyone did well. Garfield-Palouse 2 scored second in team placement with Derrick Bosch, Chandler Pfaff, Emily Keeney, Lexi Rodriguez, and Hunter Woltering. Team 1 for Gar-Pal took fifth with members: Jesse Lopez, Blaise Anderson, Gabe Cocking, Cassie Thompson, and Heidi Jamison. However, the whole of our chapter deserves recognition for another successful day of playing in the dirt.
