This years Engineering team consists of seven students and two supervisors. We started the year off with a fun and exciting presentation to the elementary classes. For these presentations our team had built a solar powered model sized car. The car ran on hydrogen gathered through distilled water. The sunlight powered the car to gain this hydrogen. We showed the kids how the process worked and what scientific reactions took place.
Our project for second semester is dedicated to Sean, as it was last year. Sean is a big part of our community and is well known in the area. We aim to allow him to drive his car without assistance of others. Our design consists of a track and guard rails holding him in place while he drives. Our team hopes to help him and possibly share our ideas with the rest of the world.
