Palouse Empire Fair "A Love Affair".

Garfield-Palouse FFA members led the competition this year at the Palouse Empire Fair. Members participated in a range of activities from identifying plants to showing sheep. Derrick Bosch received the titles of both Grand Champion and Reserve Grand Champion for his Rams entered in this year’s fair. Mitch Jamison got Reserve Champion in Fitting and Showing, Novice Division with his hog. Emily Akin was awarded first place for her yearling ewe, and Matt Dymkoski took second place in the Novice Division of Fitting and Showing with his lamb. Along with all of these great individual accomplishments, the majority of the chapter placed with blue ribbons.

Solo and together, they strived. As a team; Nathan Cocking, Hannah Neibergs, Missy Johnson, Emily Akin, and Heidi Jamison took first place in the Livestock Judging competition. With Cocking receiving 5th high individual, and Neighbergs taking 6th. Garfield-Palouse FFA also brought back first place in the Agronomy Competition as well as the Champion Herdsmanship Award in the Sheep Barn this year. All in all, it was a very successful year this year for Garfield-Palouse FFA at the Palouse Empire Fair.
