Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!
I am so excited that you will be in my class this year! We are going to learn so many new and amazing things together. This is my third year of teaching 4th grade at Palouse Elementary, but my 25th year of teaching. I’m so happy to begin this journey with you!
I’m very passionate about teaching all subjects but find teaching science one of my favorites! This year, we get to study the Earth’s processes, sound, the human body and energy! Those are all very exciting areas and ones that I hope you find engaging and informative.
I also think it is very important to work together as a classroom family. We will be spending a lot of time together so it is important to treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. I know that each of you have a different brain, which means you think and learn differently. It is my job as your teacher to help you grow as a learner and as a person of good character.
Here’s a little information about me. I have a wonderful husband, Brian, who is the Contractor Sales Manager at Pullman Building Supply. I love spending time outdoors! Walking, hiking, mountain exploring, taking care of my yard and garden, and archery are some of my favorite things to do, especially when we can do them together. We've been blessed with 5 children, who are now all young adults and have children of their own. I spend as much time as I can with my grandlittles and really enjoy watching them grow and learn! My husband and I like to take road trips together and always look for new things to learn about on those trips.
I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from Lewis Clark State College. I have a K-12 Endorsement in Reading through them as well. My Master of Education was earned through the University of Idaho. GO VANDALS!!!
