Welcome to the Garfield-Palouse CooperativeThe following general information applies to positions in the Garfield and Palouse School Districts.
General Requirements for All Positions:
- Ability to collaborate as a team member
- Ability to take directions and work with others
- Must have constant awareness of things to be done in the assigned work area
- Tact, resourcefulness, integrity, reliability, a positive attitude toward work
- Works independently
Requirements for Classified Positions:
-
All Classified positions, including substitutes and excluding secretarial and library aides, must be able to lift 50 pounds and be on their feet all day.
Professional Qualifications for Certificated Positions- A valid Washington State Teacher Certificate with endorsements for the position listed
- Professional appearance and judgment
- Successful teaching experience
- Demonstrated successful experience in position listed
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, parents, administrators, and community
- Ability to collaborate as a team member with other staff members
- Willingness to accept related duties as assigned by the principal and the superintendent
Professional Qualifications for Para-educator Positions
- The candidate must have an AA degree or two years of college or be able to pass the PRAXIS
Salary and Benefits
- Certificated: Pay will be based on the placement on the Washington State LEAP schedule, depending on education and experience, unless noted.
- Classified: Pay will be based on the placement on the classified salary schedule, depending on experience, unless noted.
- Coaching/advisor: Pay will be based on the placement on the coaches salary schedule, depending on experience, unless noted.
