Graduation Requirements

TOTAL # CREDITS REQUIRED: 28

English = 4 Credits

  • Freshman English (1 credit)
  • Sophomore English (1 credit)
  • Junior English (1 credit)
  • Senior English (1 credit)

 

Social Studies = 4 Credits

 

  • Washington State History (0 credit - taken at middle school)
  • U.S. History I
  • U.S. History II
  • Current World Issues
  • Civics

Math = 3 credits

  • Algebra I (1 credit)
  • Geometry (1 credit)
  • Algebra II or Statistics - depending on student pathway (1 credit)

Science = 3 credits 

  • Physical Science (1 credit)
  • Biology (1 credit)
  • Science Elective (1 credit) - can be fulfilled with AFNR / Chemistry is strongly recommended for 4-year college-bound students

Fine or Performing Arts = 2 credits*

Occupational Education = 1 credit

World Languages = 2 credits*

Physical Education = 2 credits

Health = .5 credit 

Economics & Personal Finance = 1 credit

Electives = vary depending on Personalized Pathway

*Fine/Performing Arts - 1 credit may be a Personalized Pathway requirement

*World Languages - both credits may be a Personalized Pathway requirement 

 

*Personalized Pathway Requirement are related courses that lead to a specific post-high school career or educational outcome chosen by the student based on the student’s interests and High School and Beyond Plan, that may include Career and Technical Education, and are intended to provide a focus for the student’s learning.
