Food Pantry Program

Palouse School District is working to implement a weekend/vacation food pantry for students enrolled in our schools. Registered students would receive a bag of food placed into their backpacks every Friday or the last day of an extended weekend/vacation.  This program would support the health of Palouse families who might be in need. Research shows that hunger negatively impacts the ability to learn and we understand that many circumstances in life can lead families to struggle in accessing enough food.  To learn more about this program or to see how you might support, please contact school staff Jayne Olesen jolesen@garpal.net or Debbie Anderson danderson@garpal.net or by phone at 509-878-1921.
