Garfield and Palouse School Districts receive Small District Modernization Grants
The Garfield and Palouse School Districts were recently awarded Small District Modernization Grants from Washington State. These grants are awarded to school districts of 1,000 FTE or less for much needed facility improvements. The Garfield School District will receive 5.2 million dollars and the Palouse School District will receive 4.6 million dollars. The grants will be used to upgrade the roof, electrical service, and HVAC system in both buildings. These projects will begin construction in the summer of 2022.
